Demons Earn 3-2 Win Versus Pathfinders
|
The Detroit Demons rode a solid performance from 28-year-old starting pitcher Goaty McGoatFace to a win, beating the Toronto Pathfinders, 3-2, at The Lodge. Thorne Belfour earned the save for Detroit, his 11th. The Detroit winning streak has reached 4 games.
Biff Slamous came through with a big-time hit for Detroit. The catcher smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I went after the hitters," said McGoatFace. "No pussyfooting around."
