Voyagers Keep Streak Alive with Late Rally
|
The Brickyard was the site of a competitive game between the Indianapolis Apex and New York Voyagers.
The Indianapolis Apex got a superb performance from pitcher Maurice Bernard, but the New York Voyagers still won the game, 5-3. Bernard threw 8.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The third-place Voyagers have won 4 in a row.
New York used the timely hitting of Sebastian O'Tage to capture the win. The catcher socked a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Voyagers ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said O'Tage.
