Giannoulas Hits 3 home runs in Scorpions Win
The Seattle Sea Serpents and Death Valley Scorpions were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Death Valley Scorpions trumped the Seattle Sea Serpents, 11-7, at The Aquadome. Death Valley first baseman Ted Giannoulas was terrific. He belted 3 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring three times. Death Valley reliever Richard Dick got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Hex Waters V was tagged with the loss. The save went to Ray Xavier, his 8th this season.

Death Valley relied on the hitting of Xicoyotl Montalbán to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Scorpions on top, 9-7. For the game, Montalbán had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Montalbán said.

Death Valley is now 39-18, 2 games up in the Champions Conference West.
