The Death Valley Scorpions picked up a win at Cari Price Memorial Stadium, knocking off the Seattle Sea Serpents, 5-3. Starting pitcher Guy Roussy played a key role in the triumph. Death Valley is now 29-29, Seattle 17-41.

Death Valley left fielder Stelle helped the Scorpions go up, 5-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Stelle hit a 2-run single off Seattle pitcher Mejiro McQueen.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Death Valley manager . "It's usually not just one thing."
