Surge Suffer 6-2 Setback
|
Behind an impressive start by Joey Moose Jr., New York beat Buffalo, 6-2. Anne Dieu-le-Veut earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The Voyagers' win now puts them at 25-34.
One of the clutch hits for New York came from one of their biggest talents. In the bottom of the seventh with one out, Sebastian O'Tage, who is a five-time All-Star, hit a 2-run single to put the Voyagers up, 4-2. For the game, the catcher went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said O'Tage. "And not try to do too much."
