Raptors Get 8-4 Win Versus Seattle
|
The Boise Raptors downed the Seattle Sea Serpents, 8-4. The hitting star was center fielder Cianán Muirchertach. Muirchertach went 3 for 5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Raptors. Boise pitcher Harold Smith got the win, upping his record to 7-3. Archie Richards got the loss. Seattle, at 17-43, has lost 4 straight.
Romain Gauthier had a big 2-run home run for the Raptors in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Boise leading 3-1 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Archie Richards and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Raptors on top, 5-1.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Muirchertach.
