Death Valley and Boise played a hard-fought contest.

Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Death Valley Scorpions and the Boise Raptors. Death Valley won it, 3-1. Death Valley starter Guy Roussy was in command. With the win, Death Valley raised its record to 40-21.

Roussy, who dominated for Death Valley, earned the victory to move to 9-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 7. Boise batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Roussy said.
