Good production from first baseman Launch Angle helped the Death Valley Scorpions topple the Providence Crabs, 6-3. Angle went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI for the Scorpions. The win went to Ray Xavier in relief, making him now 3-1. Nathanael Abel took the loss for Providence. The victory gives Death Valley a record of 38-25.

Angle had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 sinker from Nathanael Abel, he banged a 2-run double to right, giving the Scorpions a 5-3 lead. It was the 21st double of the year for Angle.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Angle. "It sure beats the alternative."
