Toros Earn 4-3 Win Versus Scorpions
|
Led by A Starting Pitcher, the Cancun Toros defeated the Death Valley Scorpions, 4-3. Pitcher went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Toros. Cancun pitcher Samuel Smoltz got the win, upping his record to 3-2. Bandit Keith got the loss. The third-place Toros have won 4 in a row.
Pitcher had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 0-2 fastball from Bandit Keith, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Toros a 4-3 lead. It was the 16th home run of the year for Pitcher.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Cancun skipper . "I can't complain."
