Toronto turned a fine outing from starter Mac N Cheese into a victory over the Vancouver Vandals at The Lodge. The final score was 4-1. Cheese, the winner, moves to 4-9. He threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 1 walk. Picking up the save was "Fire" Aaron Boone, his 4th.

Toronto third baseman Beau Mathews contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a cutter to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 53rd hit of the season and put the Pathfinders ahead, 1-0.

"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Cheese.

The win puts Toronto at 20-46.
