Vandals Edge Raptors, 3-2

The Vancouver Vandals eked out a 3-2 win versus the Boise Raptors at The Thunderdome. Nobody did more than pitcher Andy Beans. He was terrific. In 7 innings, Beans surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Lucas Greep closed the game out for Vancouver, earning his 3rd save.
The Vandals got a big at-bat from first baseman McLovin Jr.. For the game, McLovin Jr. went 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 11th double of the season gave Vancouver a 3-1 lead.
"Both teams played hard," said Vancouver manager .
Vancouver has now won 4 straight, while the Raptors have lost 3 in a row.
