Guy Roussy was superb against Boise. The right-hander, who led the Champions in strikeouts with 210 in 2074, had a changeup that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Scorpions victory. The score was 5-1. In 6.1 innings, Roussy surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. The win brings the Scorpions to 3-7, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.

Slime Sluggerton, who is the top prospect in the Scorpions organization, helped out the Death Valley cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 3 with a walk.
