The Cancun Toros picked up a win at The Aquadome, knocking off the Seattle Sea Serpents, 6-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Cancun was left-hander Samuel Smoltz. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Lizzie WOOOOHOOOO got the save, the 9th for him this season. Cancun, at 41-31, is 2 games up in the Champions Conference West.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Napoleon Solo came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Seattle pitcher Kip Treadwell, he hit a full count splitter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Cancun on top, 4-3.
