Vancouver Beats Indianapolis, 5-3

The Vancouver Vandals picked up a win at The Brickyard, knocking off the Indianapolis Apex, 5-3. On the mound for Vancouver was left-hander Holly Sheet. He played a key role in the triumph. Jackson Kidd notched his 1st save of the season. The victory makes Vancouver 6-4, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2077.
Ashton Lansdell had a big 2-run double for the Vandals in the top of the first inning. With Vancouver leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a screwball from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Biggus Tittious Smittious and swatted a double to center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Vandals ahead, 4-0.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Lansdell said after the game.
