Apex Win at Death Valley, 2-1
|
Deviver Votto pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Death Valley Scorpions, despite Votto's fine outing, dropped a 2-1 decision to the Indianapolis Apex at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. Calm Chicken, the winner, is now 9-8. He struck out 7 and walked 0 over 7.2 innings, while allowing 1 run on 9 hits. With the win, the Apex sit at 41-32.
Esteban Santos Garcia, who finished 3rd in the Champions in stolen bases with 89 in 2076, had a direct impact on the outcome. Santos Garcia contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Indianapolis up, 2-0.
"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Death Valley manager .
