Apex Pick Up 2-0 Win Over Death Valley

The Indianapolis Apex converted a terrific effort from starter Biggus Tittious Smittious into a win over the Death Valley Scorpions at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. The Apex won the game by a final score of 2-0. Smittious got the win, improving to 9-7. He gave up 6 hits and walked 0 over 7.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Indianapolis has now won 3 straight, while the Scorpions have lost 4 in a row.
The Apex had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 2-0, Indianapolis, with no one out. Death Valley, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Launch Angle dug in at the plate, but on a full count fastball, he hit into a double play.
