Apex 5-3 Winners Over San Antonio
The Indianapolis Apex topped the San Antonio Sloths, 5-3, in Champions Conference action at The Brickyard. The standout performance belonged to Indianapolis pitcher and Toronto, Canada, native Biggus Tittious Smittious. The winning pitcher was Smittious, now 9-5. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 9. James Noble was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 7 of 10 save opportunities.

The Apex got a big at-bat from shortstop Dave Babipperson. For the game, Babipperson was 1-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 10th double of the season gave Indianapolis a 3-1 lead.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Babipperson told the Indianapolis Daily.

Indianapolis is now 43-32, San Antonio 29-46.
