The Providence Crabs picked up a win at The Pot, downing the Death Valley Scorpions, 7-2. On the mound for Providence was right-hander Joe Random, who played a pivotal role in the win. Nathanael Abel collected his 5th save. The triumph puts Providence at 47-29 for the season.

The Crabs got a big at-bat from center fielder Boyz II Chess Back Again. For the game, Back Again went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Providence a 4-2 lead.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Crabs manager .
