Nashville Stars starter Tugg Boat had all his pitches working at The Thunderdome. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 10-2 Nashville win over the Vancouver Vandals. The Stars lead the Champions Conference East by 4 games.

The Stars got a big hit from shortstop Jimmy Lumber. Facing Vancouver pitcher Reed Rothchild in the top of the seventh, Lumber pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 7th home run of the season put the Stars ahead, 9-0.

"What a debacle," groaned Vancouver manager in postgame remarks.
