Dog Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Friday, July 10th , 2076 The New York Voyagers may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 7-6, to the Outer Banks Aviators, but Summuh Dog continued to hit like a god. The first baseman collected 2 hits in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Dog is playing great and is on fire right now," Voyagers manager said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Dog was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Summuh Dog flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a three-run double in the 9th. So far this season, Dog is batting .375 with 9 home runs. |
