Detroit Snaps Shadow Streak at 23 Friday, May 7th , 2077 Nashville designated hitter Ethan Shadow went 0-for-3 in Nashville's 4-3 triumph over the Detroit Demons, snapping his 23-game hitting streak. Shadow spoke to BNN after the game and said he "knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later." "I just would have preferred later," he said with a laugh. "It was fun though." When Shadow made an out in his last chance at the plate, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout. In the clubhouse after the game, he seemed unbothered by the streak ending. "There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," Demons manager said of Shadow's streak. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here." This year, Shadow is hitting at a .333 pace with 3 home runs and 12 RBIs. He has played in 14 games and scored 11 times. |
