Champions's Best Player, Cortez of Cancun Monday, June 20th , 2078 It was an extraordinary week for Victor Cortez of the Cancun Toros. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .526, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Champions Conference. Last week Cortez went 10-for-19, racked up 3 home runs and 11 RBIs and scored 4 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Cancun first baseman. This year, Cortez is hitting .330 with 20 home runs and 54 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .408 clip and scored 34 runs. |
