Pro Baseball Experience Honors Reeves Wednesday, January 4th , 2079 Bass Reeves played baseball a long time and he played it well. Then at the age of 34, he called it a career. In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments, Reeves has been voted into the Hall of Fame, with 100.0% of ballots voting him in. "There is so much to love about this game," the newest honoree said during his induction speech at the Pro Baseball Experience Baseball Hall of Fame. "I couldn't imagine anything greater than my first major league game. Then I hit my first home run. Then the other landmarks came. But nothing tops today... to think that I made it to the Hall of Fame." The legendary second baseman put up some impressive numbers. Reeves played in 1188 games, compiled a .276 batting average, hit 125 home runs, drove in 569 runs and scored 921 times during his career. |
