FortyThreeAndAQuarter Among Greats in PBE HOF Wednesday, January 3rd , 2080 The Pro Baseball Experience Hall of Fame just added a fine catcher and hitter to its number. The newest member of baseball's most elite group is Jose FortyThreeAndAQuarter, who retired at the age of 36. "I always knew I was good enough to play, but the Hall of Fame was one of the few things I never even dreamed of," said FortyThreeAndAQuarter at his induction ceremony. "For me to focus a lot on the individual, that's not the way I learned to play the game. Baseball is a team game. You win as a team, you lose as team. You also do so many things together, but it is not an 'I' thing." During his illustrious career, FortyThreeAndAQuarter had 168 home runs among his 1385 hits, while batting .273. He played in 1297 games, scored 721 runs and knocked in 697 runs. |
