Williams Hits 3 Homers Tuesday, August 12th , 2070 Ashley Joanna Williams went the distance three times in the New Orleans-Nashville tilt at Full Moon Stadium today, but the Rougarous lost, 9-4. "Gosh, it's a shame we didn't win this game," Williams said later. For the day, the New Orleans first baseman went 3-for-4 against Nashville with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting. "I was in a groove and every pitch they tossed up there looked like a basketball," he said. "I tell you what, I was surprised because I didn't think the last ball had enough to get out. I thought it was just going to be a long out." Ashley Joanna Williams hit a solo-shot off Zach Mulder in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Zach Mulder in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Bubba Blaze in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. Thus far this season Williams has hit .281 with 18 home runs, 64 RBIs and scored 50 times. |
