Voyagers Stay Hot, Beat Pathfinders, 7-3

The New York Voyagers picked up a win at Vaughn's House, topping the Toronto Pathfinders, 7-3. On the mound for New York was right-hander Taylor Adkins. He played a principal role in the triumph. Adkins, now 13-6, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. The first-place Voyagers have won 5 consecutive games.
The Voyagers got a big at-bat from first baseman Summuh Dog. For the game, Dog was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave New York a 2-0 lead.
