The home crowd had a good time watching the Death Valley Scorpions and Seattle Sea Serpents get after it.

The Seattle Sea Serpents downed the Death Valley Scorpions, 12-5, at The Aquadome. Jim Hawkins led the way, going 2-for-4 for Seattle. Lieutenant Dudz was credited with the save for Seattle, his 1st of the season.

Pass had a big run-scoring double for the Sea Serpents in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Seattle leading 4-3 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from 28-year old left-handed pitcher Bubba Blaze and swatted a double to left. It was his 38th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sea Serpents ahead, 5-3.

"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said Seattle skipper .

With the win, Seattle upped its record to 59-45.
