Toros Suffer One-Run Loss at Providence
Providence picked up a win at The Pot, bumping off the Cancun Toros, 8-7. Pitcher Joe Random was a major reason the Crabs emerged victorious. Losses have been rare for the Toros, who are now 15-5.

The Toros had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Crabs going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the three-time All-Star Beryl Summers came to the plate. Summers hit a 2-run double on a 2-1 cutter from Cancun hurler Samuel Smoltz. It was Summers's 6th double of the year.

"It never gets old," said Random. "Winning, that is."
