Almost There: Vancouver On Cusp of World Series Triumph After 11-2 Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of second baseman Enrique von Caliente, the Vancouver Vandals got a road win against the Death Valley Scorpions, 11-2, in Game 4 of the World Series. von Caliente was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Vandals, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

Vancouver used the hitting of Steven Strange to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Vandals on top, 3-1. For the game, Strange had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Strange told a Vancouver News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Cari Price Memorial Stadium in Providence.
