The Cancun Toros topped the Detroit Demons, 6-5, with right fielder Scottie Stirling playing a big role. Stirling went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Toros in the win. Roquefort Cotswald earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 4-3. The save was credited to LaPicante Sauce, his 3rd.

In the top of the seventh, Stirling put his team in front with his 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came against Korrin Abernathy Jr., made it 6-4, Cancun.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Stirling said.

Cancun currently is in second place in the Champions Conference West at 20-13.
