Rougarous Trip Stars, 6-4, in Extra Innings

The New Orleans Rougarous beat the Nashville Stars, 6-4, in 10 innings. New Orleans catcher Tater MacCheesy, in particular, had a fine performance. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Jonny Tom, now 2-1, was credited with the win in 2.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 2 and walking 0. The win elevated the Rougarous to 23-21.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, MacCheesy hit a cutter from Zachary Vega III for a 2-run home run. The Rougarous, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said MacCheesy. "And not try to do too much."
