Arenado Slugs Stars to 6-5 Win
Jimmy Arenado impressed in the 6-5 Nashville win over Indianapolis. Arenado, who is tied for 3rd in the Champions with a .406 on-base percentage, went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Mac John got the win, improving to 7-8. He worked 7 innings, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. The save was credited to Siegmeyer of Catarina, his 5th.

With Nashville leading 3-1 in the top of the fourth, Arenado hit a knuckle curve from Romeo McFlourish for a 3-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Stars ahead, 6-1.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Arenado said.

The third-place Stars lifted their record to 29-36.
