Due in large part to left fielder Jackson Love, the New Orleans Rougarous sunk the Death Valley Scorpions, 8-4. Love went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The Rougarous, at 34-31, have now won 4 straight.

With New Orleans leading 3-2 in the top of the seventh, Love hit a fastball from Deviver Votto for a bases-clearing double. It was his 16th double of the season and put the Rougarous ahead, 6-2.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Love said. "We did a good job of that today."
