Buffalo Dazzled, Moose Jr. Hurls No-Hitter
Saturday, July 20th , 2075
New York Voyagers starter Joey Moose Jr. came up big at Vaughn's House with an exceptional 5-0 win against the Buffalo Surge. Not only did he whip them, but Moose Jr. held them hitless, too.
"My arm was a bit sore in warmups," confessed Moose Jr.. "Sometimes you go out there and you're not feeling all that hot. You get into the game and all of a sudden in the seventh inning you look up and see the scoreboard and think to yourself, 'Oh, my goodness, I have a no-hitter!' You're so focused on what you're doing, it just happens."
In the course of the no-hitter, Moose Jr. collected 17 strikeouts and surrendered 2 walks -- a day good enough to get his name in the history books.
On his stats sheet this season, Moose Jr. shows a 11-3 record, 17 starts, 117 innings, 144 strikeouts and a 2.62 ERA.
