Bernard Spins Shutout Against Sloths Saturday, August 16th , 2070 Maurice Bernard of the Indianapolis Apex shut down the San Antonio Sloths 8-0 on a 5-hitter, holding them scoreless while ringing up 7 strikeouts and allowing no walks. After the game Bernard said, "Guys have been fouling off a lot of pitches lately and I've been getting into too many deep pitch counts, but I'm pleased with the way things went today. I went right after them and stayed ahead in the count." Up to now Bernard has compiled an ERA of 4.48 with a 8-9 mark over 22 starts.
